They call it Mate Crime. The victims, usually people with learning disabilities, suffer abuse, theft and assaults by people they think of as their friends. Some have even been murdered. Even though it affects about a million of Britain’s most vulnerable people, some police forces only receive a handful of complaints each year. We’ve been investigating what’s being done to tackle the problem with Nikki Reid from Rugby who’s vulnerable sister was murdered.
